Our church is involved with the Shamokin, PA Salvation Army. We gather items monthly to take to their office in Grace Lutheran Church. Below is a list of items we are collecting. Click the Salvation Army logo for directions if you want to drop off your own!
Monthly Donation Schedule
- January – soup
- February – pasta, sauce, Parmesan cheese
- March – cereal
- April – noodles, rice boxed/instant potatoes
- May – condiments (mustard, ketchup, mayo, relish, BBQ sauce, salad dressings)
- June – canned meat (tuna, chicken, Spam, sardines, Vienna sausages)
- July – Peanut butter and jelly
- August – lunchbox items and after school snacks
- September – canned fruit
- October – canned vegetables (carrots, potatoes, tomato products, in addition to corn, peas and beans)
- November – baking supplies, pudding, Jell-o, boxed desserts
- December – personal items
